Comparative Analysis of Advantages of LED Public Lighting and Conventional Lighting

The difference between Led Public lighting(CLASSICLEDLIGHT) and conventional lighting is that LED light source adopts low voltage DC power supply and high efficiency white light synthesized by GaN-based power blue LED and yellow, which has the unique advantages of high efficiency, safety, energy-saving, environmental protection, long service life, fast response speed, high color rendering index and the like, and can be widely applied to roads. The outer cover can be made, with high-temperature resistance up to 135 degrees and low-temperature resistance up to -45 degrees.

1. Its own characteristics-unidirectionality of light, no diffusion of light, ensuring light efficiency.

2. Public lighting has a unique secondary optical design, which irradiates the light of public lighting to the required lighting area, further improving the lighting efficiency to achieve the purpose of energy conservation.

3. LED has reached 110-130lm/W, and there is still much room for development, with the theoretical value reaching 360lm/w. However, the luminous efficiency of high-pressure sodium lights increases with the increase of power, so the overall luminous efficiency public lighting is stronger than that of high-pressure sodium lights. (The overall luminous efficiency is theoretical, in fact, the luminous efficiency of high-pressure sodium lights above 250W is higher than that of LED lights).

4. The light colour rendering property of public lighting is much higher than that of high-pressure sodium light. The colour rendering index of high-pressure sodium light is only about 23, while the obvious colour index of public lighting reaches more than 75. Considering the visual and psychological point of view, the light intensity of public lighting can be reduced by more than 20% on average than that of high-pressure sodium light.

5. The light attenuation is small, less than 3% in one year, and it still meets the road requirements after 10 years of use. However, the high-pressure sodium light has a large attenuation, which has dropped by more than 30% in about one year. Therefore, the design of the use power of public lighting can be lower than that of high-pressure sodium light.

6. Public lighting has automatic control energy-saving devices, which can reduce power and save electric energy as much as possible under the condition of meeting the lighting requirements of different periods. It can realize humanized functions such as computer dimming, time division control, light control, temperature control, automatic inspection, etc.

7. Long service life: can be used for more than 50,000 hours, providing three years of quality assurance. The disadvantage is that the life of the power supply cannot be guaranteed.

8. High luminous efficiency: chip with ≥100LM can save energy by more than 75% compared with traditional high-pressure sodium light.

9. Easy installation: No need to bury cables or rectifiers, etc., directly connect the light post or embed the light source into the original light housing.

10. Excellent heat dissipation control: the temperature is controlled below 45 degrees in summer, and passive heat dissipation is adopted, so the heat dissipation guarantee in summer is insufficient.

11. Reliable quality: all circuit power supplies are made of high-quality components, and each LED has a separate overcurrent protection, so there is no need to worry about damage.

12. Uniform light colour: No lens is added, and uniform light colour is not sacrificed to improve brightness, thus ensuring uniform light color without aperture.

13. LED does not contain harmful metal mercury and will not cause harm to the environment when discarded.

The comprehensive energy-saving effect of the above principles is remarkable, and the energy can be saved by more than 60% instead of high-pressure sodium light.
